We headed up into the Yampa Valley to ride Steamboat Resort, renowned for its trademarked "Champagne Powder" and classic aspen tree glades across Mount Werner.

The conditions were good in Steamboat given the overall season patterns, though nowhere near as deep as peak winter usually delivers. We spent the day exploring the upper mountain off Storm Peak and Sunshine Express, finding pockets of softer snow through the trees before dropping down into the valley.
